Job description
We are recruiting for a Test Analyst who will ensure the quality and accuracy of pension administration systems through structured testing activities, validating that solutions meet business, regulatory, and client requirements. The Test Analyst will work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Operations to deliver high-quality releases across pension platforms.
Candidates must be eligible for SC Clearance
This is a home based role with travel when required, * Design, create, and execute test cases across functional, system, and integration testing phases
- Validate pension calculations, data processing, and workflow functionality
- Perform defect identification, logging, tracking, and retesting to resolution
- Support regression testing to protect existing functionality
Analysis & Coverage
- Review requirements, user stories, and solution designs to ensure testability
- Identify gaps, ambiguities, or risks in requirements
- Ensure full traceability between requirements and test cases
Collaboration
- Work closely with Developers, BAs, and SMEs to validate solutions meet business needs
- Engage with pensions operations teams to ensure real-world scenarios are covered
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
Data & Environments
- Prepare and manage test data aligned to pension schemes and scenarios
- Validate outputs against expected pension calculations and regulatory rules
- Support environment testing, including interfaces and APIs
Quality Assurance
- Ensure adherence to Capita testing standards and governance
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and automation
- Provide clear test progress reporting and quality metrics
Requirements
Do you have experience in Test management tools?, Essential
- Experience in software testing (manual and/or automated)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with test management tools (e.g. Azure DevOps or similar)
- Understanding of defect management processes
- Good stakeholder communication skills
Desirable
- Experience within pensions administration systems (e.g. calculations, payroll, interfaces)
- Knowledge of pension schemes (DB/DC, contributions, benefit calculations)
- Exposure to API and integration testing
- Automation experience (e.g. Tosca, Selenium, or similar)
