Job description

  • Transition legacy VB .NET systems to a modern C# .NET platform.

  • Develop and test control systems for end-of-line test systems for electronics.

  • Design and implement front-end UI applications using WPF.

  • Ensure applications can operate in environments with limited network connectivity using a thick architecture.

  • Push data to SQL Server and AWS Cloud.

  • Collaborate with internal IT departments to ensure compliance with procedures.

  • Set up systems for both internal and third-party users at manufacturing sites.

Requirements

We are seeking a software engineer with a preference for candidates who have some experience with electronics. The role involves programming in C# and requires proficiency in troubleshooting, debugging, testing, and fixing bugs, particularly in controls that have not yet been installed. The position involves working at the PCB-sub assembly level and requires local availability for onsite testing to work on hardware. You will play a vital role in transitioning from a legacy test platform to a modern C# .NET platform, developing end-of-line test systems for electronics integrated into generators. These systems will need to be designed for both internal and third-party users at manufacturing sites., + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

  • 4+ years of experience in front-end development and user interface design.

  • 4+ years of experience with WPF.

  • 4+ years of experience with XAML and AWS or related technologies.

  • Proficiency in C# programming.

  • Experience with troubleshooting and debugging.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with electronics is preferred.

  • Skills in C++ and embedded software development.

  • Experience with software development that involves interaction with hardware.

Benefits & conditions

This position offers a hybrid work environment, with a 50/50 split between in-office and remote work. Candidates need to be available for onsite testing to work on hardware.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
