Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Network Operations Analyst to join our team and drive excellence in our network infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing complex network systems to ensure seamless connectivity, security, and high availability. Your expertise will support the organization's IT infrastructure, enabling efficient communication and data flow across multiple platforms and environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the stability and security of our global network operations., * Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues across WAN (Wide Area Network), LAN (Local Area Network), and data center environments, ensuring optimal operation.

  • Manage and configure network security devices including firewalls (Cisco ASA), IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), and Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine) for secure access control.
  • Implement and maintain network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, IPsec, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, and SSL to support reliable data transmission.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments using tools like Splunk, SolarWinds, PRTG, and SolarWinds to identify potential security threats or system weaknesses.
  • Support network installation, configuration, and management of hardware including Cisco routers, Meraki devices, Juniper equipment, VMware vSphere environments, SAN (Storage Area Network), and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system administration tasks involving operating systems such as Windows, Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian), BSD variants, Solaris, and openSUSE.
  • Develop scripts using Python, Bash shell scripting or PowerShell to automate routine tasks; utilize Ansible for configuration management; support DevOps practices for continuous integration/deployment.
  • Maintain documentation of network architecture diagrams, GPOs (Group Policy Objects), network policies, and procedures aligned with ITIL standards.
  • Assist in implementing high availability solutions and load balancing strategies to ensure minimal downtime during maintenance or unexpected outages.
  • Support remote access solutions including SSH, SFTP, VPNs, remote desktop software; monitor network health using tools like Nagios or PRTG; participate in incident response activities.

Requirements

Do you have experience in DevOps?, * Proven experience in computer networking with a focus on enterprise IT infrastructure supporting large-scale operations.

  • Strong knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF; familiarity with MPLS networks; experience with Cisco IOS/ASA devices; Juniper knowledge is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience managing firewalls (Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS systems; implementing VPNs; configuring network security protocols including SSL/TLS encryption.
  • Practical understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere; cloud security practices within AWS or Azure environments.
  • Experience working in data centers or telecommunication environments with high availability requirements.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation; proficiency in system administration across Windows Server and various Linux distributions including Ubuntu and CentOS.
  • Knowledge of network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or PRTG; conducting vulnerability assessments using Splunk or similar platforms.
  • Background in supporting DevOps workflows using Ansible or similar automation tools; understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes related to network deployment projects.
