Peak Performers has partnered with a Texas State Agency to assist in their search for a contract Sr. Desktop Support Technician in Austin, Tx., * Provide on-site front-door IT support for staff, executives, contractors, and visitors at the San Antonio office.
- Support laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, conference rooms, collaboration tools, printers, network connectivity, user onboarding and offboarding, account and access coordination, asset inventory, equipment moves, and break/fix coordination.
- Resolve or triage service requests, document work in the approved ticketing process, maintain user-facing knowledge articles, coordinate with systems, network, security, and vendor support teams, and provide executive-priority support during business hours.
- Assist with meeting room readiness, video and audio support, staff training, and routine technology checks.
- Support device deployment, refresh, relocation, secure disposal coordination, loaner equipment, incident-related collection support, and after-hours maintenance windows when approved.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Mobile device management?, * 8+ years of experience providing desktop, endpoint, field, or onsite IT support in enterprise or government environments.
- Experience troubleshooting laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, printers, operating systems, network connectivity, collaboration tools, and user access issues.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and related collaboration platforms, including Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, and endpoint management solutions.
- Experience using ticketing systems, asset management tools, knowledge bases, and service documentation processes.
- Experience supporting executive users, onboarding/offboarding activities, conference rooms, audio/video systems, and high-priority support requests.
- Experience following IT security procedures related to account access, device management, data protection, and incident escalation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Windows, Dell, Apple/iOS, Intune, Teams Rooms, mobile device support, and hardware lifecycle management.
- Experience supporting public sector, cybersecurity, emergency operations, law enforcement, or other regulated environments.
- Experience supporting executive briefings, hybrid meetings, and collaboration technology environments.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, ITIL, HDI, or equivalent experience., All employment offers are contingent on the successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check, in compliance with all applicable federal and state laws.
