Job description

  • Design and develop enhancements to existing web based applications and back end components.
  • Follow secure coding practices to design and write application code to comply and remediate existing code that is out of compliance with new security standards.
  • Perform unit testing and system integration validations. Verify program logic by preparing test data, tests and debug programs. Participate in overall system testing and support implementation of the application into production environment.
  • Responsible for system quality assurance and consistency with installation and security policy and standards.
  • Multi-task application development queue, production support, documentation and administrative duties.
  • Communicate effectively with project teams.
  • Comply with development standards and security policies set within the larger development organization.
  • Work with team of application developers (team members and contractors) and collaborate with a senior architect and solution designer to effectively deliver projects, enhancements and applications.
  • Level 3 production support duties to handle complex issues when escalated by level 1 and 2 support.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, * 5+ years of J2EE experience
  • 4+ years of Oracle experience
  • 4+ years of Spring experience
  • 4+ years of Web Services experience
  • Experienced in Web service design and development (SOA)
  • Must be a team player
  • Strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
  • 3+ years Spring framework experience (MVC, AOP, JDBC, Security, REST)
  • Detailed application development experience utilizing Object oriented design methodologies
  • Workflow modeling
  • Experience with BPM
  • Experience with IBM BPM
  • jQuery, java script
  • Ajax experience
  • Performance tuning and configuration - IBM BPM, Oracle database, JBoss app server, J2EE
