Job description
Insight Global is looking for two Senior Infrastructure Engineers to support a government-focused vulnerability remediation program. These resources will work alongside internal infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to identify, assess, and remediate vulnerabilities across a cloud-hosted Azure environment. This is a hands-on, execution-focused engagement requiring deep OS and cloud infrastructure expertise with no ramp time - candidates must be able to hit the ground running.
Responsibilities

Assess provisioned infrastructure for existing vulnerabilities and develop remediation plans

Perform OS patching, upgrades, and maintenance across Windows Server (2022/2019/11) and Linux (Ubuntu, Red Hat, Azure Linux)

Remediate third-party tool vulnerabilities (e.g., 7-Zip, C++, and similar flagged components)

Automate patching and remediation workflows using Terraform and/or PowerShell

Ensure all configurations meet FIPS 140-3 government encryption compliance standards

Partner with cybersecurity team to validate remediation against Wiz security tooling metrics

Collaborate with containerization team to ensure net-new image builds are clean

Requirements
5-7+ years of infrastructure/systems engineering experience

Azure cloud infrastructure (VM management, configuration, administration)

Windows Server (2019/2022) and Linux (Ubuntu, Red Hat, Azure Linux)

Terraform and/or PowerShell for automation

Vulnerability remediation experience (OS-level and third-party tooling)

FIPS 140-3 compliance familiarity (government encryption standards)

Ability to work independently - no hand-holding; senior execution mindset - Experience with Wiz or similar security/vulnerability management platforms

Prior work on government or regulated environment infrastructure
