Job description

Grant Leading Technology is seeking a candidate for Intermediate level Cloud Application Developer to join our dynamic team. The candidate will support a Federal Government client in the design, development, modernization, and maintenance of mission-critical cloud-based applications. This position requires an experienced developer who can work independently and collaboratively with business stakeholders, architects, engineers, and project teams to develop new cloud-native applications and migrate existing applications to cloud environments. This position will be on-site and the hours are 8 am to 5 pm EST. Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain cloud-based applications supporting Federal agency missions and business operations

  • Migrate legacy web applications and services to cloud-native or cloud-hosted architectures

  • Develop and support applications hosted within approved Federal cloud environments, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure

  • Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and technical teams to gather requirements and define technical solutions

  • Analyze user needs and system requirements to determine the feasibility of cloud-based solutions

  • Convert functional requirements and business specifications into technical designs and application components

  • Participate in application architecture discussions and contribute to cloud modernization strategies

  • Develop RESTful APIs, web services, and application integrations to support enterprise systems

  • Implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance with Federal security standards and policies

  • Support system integration testing, user acceptance testing, deployment activities, and production releases

  • Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and cloud infrastructure-related problems

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, deployment procedures, and operational guides

  • Develop white papers, technical assessments, and recommendations related to cloud technologies and modernization initiatives

  • Research emerging technologies, cloud services, and industry best practices to improve system performance, scalability, and maintainability

Requirements

Do you have experience in Web applications?, * Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline

  • Minimum five (5) years of application development experience

  • Minimum one to two (1-2) years of hands-on cloud application development experience

  • Experience developing, deploying, and supporting web-based applications

  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Microsoft Azure

  • Experience supporting application modernization and cloud migration initiatives

  • Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions

  • Knowledge of Federal security requirements including NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP frameworks.

  • Experience working in Agile software development environments

  • Must be able to pass a government background check

  • Must live in the United States and be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting Federal Government agencies, preferably within aviation, transportation, or regulatory environments

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM)

  • Familiarity with cloud monitoring and logging tools

  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and quality assurance processes
