Job description
This lead will oversee advanced GNC and AV-GNC design efforts, directing two subordinate leads to deliver integrated research and development solutions. They will balance cost and technical trade-offs to meet program requirements and support key milestone reviews, including the PDR and CDR., * Leads multi-disciplinary teams of GNC engineers to develop and deliver solutions that meet quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
- Supports Program Management in new business opportunities to include capture, SOW shaping, technology evaluations, authoring white papers, trade studies, process improvement, and bidding & proposals.
- Manage the baseline of new GNC efforts to include labor & non-labor planning and earned value management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 14 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in a relevant STEM discipline and 12 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a relevant STEM discipline and 10 years of related engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and Autocoding, and integration of GNC models in OFP
- Must be knowledgeable in flight sciences, control law development, control system analysis, and post flight analysis
- Must be knowledgeable in aerodynamics as it pertains to stability and control
- Must have experience leading GNC teams with at least 5+ GNC engineers
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access, * Experience with NGAS Common Products Core VMS GNC modelling
- Knowledge of C/C++, Java, Python
- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
- Experience in white paper development
- Experience in advanced GNC design implementation
- CAM experience
Benefits & conditions
Primary Level Salary Range: $192,800.00 - $289,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
