Job description

Oversee the daily operations of the IT department, ensuring efficient and reliable technology infrastructure and support for Jabil's operations. This role involves supervising a team of IT professionals, managing projects, and implementing IT strategies to meet business needs., * Supervise and mentor a team of IT technicians and specialists, including performance management and professional development.

  • Manage IT support operations, desktop support, and network infrastructure maintenance.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and implement solutions.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of Jabil's IT systems and data.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures in line with company objectives and industry best practices.
  • Manage vendor relationships and procurement of IT equipment and services.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide escalation support.
  • Prepare and present IT performance reports to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT support or infrastructure roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, firewalls), operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), and virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
  • Proven ability to manage IT projects from conception to completion.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.
