Job description
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and governing enterprise DNS solutions, ensuring scalability, resilience, and security across complex network environments. You will work closely with network, security, and cloud teams to deliver robust DNS architectures while supporting operational standards, compliance requirements, and technical best practices., * Design and architect scalable DNS infrastructures across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Define DNS strategy including high availability, redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery.
- Manage and optimise enterprise DNS platforms including Infoblox, BIND, BlueCat, and Microsoft DNS.
- Implement DNS security controls including DNSSEC, DDoS protection, and threat mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements within secure environments.
- Troubleshoot complex DNS and network-related issues across enterprise infrastructure.
- Collaborate with network, security, and cloud engineering teams on architecture and delivery initiatives.
- Produce technical standards, documentation, and operational procedures.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams.
Requirements
- Strong experience designing and supporting enterprise DNS architectures.
- Deep understanding of DNS protocols, recursive and authoritative DNS services, and TCP/IP Networking.
- Hands-on experience with Infoblox, BIND, BlueCat, or Microsoft DNS.
- Strong knowledge of routing, switching, network security, and DNS-based traffic management.
- Experience with high-availability architectures and resilient infrastructure design.
- Familiarity with cloud DNS services including AWS Route 53, Azure DNS, or Google Cloud DNS.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capability.
- Experience working within secure, regulated, or critical infrastructure environments.
