Job description
You will lead on the development and optimisation of SQL Server data warehouse solutions, advanced ETL processes, semantic/tabular data models and modern reporting platforms including Power BI. Working with large and complex healthcare datasets, you will collaborate closely with informatic and operational stakeholders to turn data into meaningful insight that improves services across the organisation., As a Senior Business Intelligence Developer, you will support the delivery of high-quality business intelligence solutions that enable informed decision making across the Trust. You will work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand complex reporting and analytical requirements, translating these into reliable and scalable data solutions.
The role involves developing and enhancing data warehouse processes, improving data quality and system performance, and designing the underlying data structures that support reporting and analytics across the organisation. This includes developing and maintaining robust fact and dimension models, semantic layers and ETL processes to ensure data is accurate, accessible and fit for analytical use.
You will contribute to the ongoing development of the Trusts BI and analytics capabilities by identifying opportunities to improve existing processes, supporting the adoption of best practice development standards, and helping to ensure the reliability and integrity of complex healthcare data. The post offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects using modern Microsoft BI technologies within a collaborative and forward-thinking NHS environment.
Requirements
We are looking for someone with strong technical expertise in SQL Server, T-SQL and BI technologies, alongside good mentoring skills to influence best practice and contribute to the Trusts long-term BI strategy.
