Job description

  • Our Team is very motivated for the success of the mission, also the contract is very flexible with hours.
  • The Team is separated into 7 different tasks, and each task has its part in order to guarantee the success of the mission/warfighter.
  • You'll have the opportunity to review the different technologies and understand our environment and the impact across the globe.
  • Customer support is a huge factor for our Client and to understand the requests from around the world.
  • You'll become well-versed in Windows Servers, Nutanix, ESXI, along with other technologies.

Typical Day: Desktop support administrator is highly dynamic and centers around solving technical issues for end-users. A significant portion of the day is spent handling and prioritizing support requests, with the remaining time dedicated to projects, system maintenance, and documentation..

Tasks:

  • Install, configure, and upgrade desktop hardware, operating systems, and software.
  • Diagnose and resolve end-user issues (software errors, hardware failures, network problems).
  • Troubleshoot printing issues (drivers, queues, printer connectivity).
  • Reset or unlock user accounts and passwords.
  • Set up new desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, and peripherals.
  • Ensure systems have updated antivirus/antimalware protection.
  • Apply patches and updates to operating systems and applications.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot standard business applications (Office, browsers, collaboration tools).
  • Push software updates via MECM, PowerShell or other management tools.
  • License tracking and compliance.
  • Respond to tickets, phone calls, chat requests, and walk-ups.
  • Escalate complex issues to higher-level support or specialized teams.
  • Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions in the ticketing system.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor' s Degree in computer science, information science, engineering, business, or related scientific or technical discipline or equivalent in accordance with Education/Experience. (Desired not required)

Education Substitution: Two (2) years' experience may be substituted for an associate's degree.

Experience: Four (4) Years.

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Must have at least four (4) years of relevant experience working in an IT or Service Desk environment.
  • Must meet DoDM 8140.03 (formerly DoD 8570 IAT-II) compliance (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA Server+).
  • Experience providing IT support services and troubleshooting across mixed environments, servers, mobile devices, A/V equipment, and Active Directory.
  • Extensive working knowledge of Operating System delivery methods (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), etc.) and troubleshooting command specific applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.

**** Certifications IAT Level II. (Security+ CE) ****

  • Security clearance/IT access requirement - Secret/IT level - II.
  • Investigation requirement - Tier 3 (T3) (equivalent or higher).
  • Computing Environment (CE) Certifications to be determined by government upon final job assignment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently Accurate and precise attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or equivalent.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move desktop equipment., Bachelors of Computer Science (preferred), 4 years: working in an IT or Service Desk environment. (required)

Benefits & conditions

  • Shift work required.
  • The Contract has the flexibility to allow employees to work either 8 hours for 5 days and/or 10 hours for 4 days, along with weekend and night coverage, at the Program Manager's discretion.
  • Note differential is not provided.
