Job description

A Back-End Web Developer is responsible for designing, prototyping, and deploying back-end web applications, including server-side logic, data storage, and integration with front-end systems. The role involves working with modern open-source technologies and frameworks such as Ruby, Python, Django, and Rails, as well as developing and consuming RESTful APIs. The developer will work in Agile team environments (Scrum, Lean) and contribute to the full software development lifecycle. Responsibilities include writing technical documentation such as API documentation and deployment guides, implementing test-driven development practices, using version control systems (Git), researching new tools and technologies, and developing scalable database and search solutions for large datasets. The role also requires strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in back-end web application development
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into user-friendly solutions
  • Strong understanding of web application architecture, security, session management, and best practices
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and at least one back-end programming language (PHP, ASP.NET, JavaScript, or Ruby on Rails)
  • Experience working with relational and non-relational databases
  • Knowledge of API development and integration

Additional Skills Required

  • Strong experience with CRM systems and enterprise application development
  • Strong knowledge of .NET, Visual Studio, and modern development tools
  • Experience with low-code / no-code platforms and enterprise automation tools
  • Strong SQL skills including stored procedure development
  • Experience developing technical architecture, integration, testing, and implementation documentation
  • Ability to lead or support development efforts and provide status updates and recommendations
  • Ability to gather and define functional requirements
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within team environments

Experience Required

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in back-end web application development using modern frameworks and technologies

Additional Experience Required

  • 3+ years of experience with enterprise CRM application development
  • 3+ years of experience with automation and low-code development platforms
  • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD and version control tools
  • 3+ years of experience in ASP.NET development using C# and Visual Studio
  • 3+ years of experience with SQL Server, including stored procedures and reporting tools
  • 1+ year of experience with modern DevOps tools and Git-based workflows

Education Required Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
