- Developer Enablement & Velocity: Design and distribute reusable component libraries and visualization frameworks to accelerate front-end development across all Yahoo Finance product squads.
- System-Wide Performance Tuning: Optimize client-side rendering pipelines (Canvas, WebGL, SVG) for complex, high-density, real-time financial streaming datasets.
- Performance Diagnostics: Utilize AI-powered code analysis and diagnostics to proactively identify performance bottlenecks, layout shifts, and rendering memory leaks in complex visualization components.
- Technical Standards & Leadership: Set organizational benchmarks for visualization quality, web accessibility (WCAG/inclusive design), robust testing, and clean architecture.
- AI-Forward Engineering Workflow: Drive developer productivity across the frontend team by championing and setting best practices for AI pair-programming tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) in the writing of visualization components and complex mathematical formulas.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Design, and Data Engineering teams to align the frontend visualization roadmap with broader business metrics and user-experience expectations.
- Engineering Citizenship: Provide architectural guidance, run technical reviews, and mentor senior developers to scale technical execution across multiple squads.
