Job description
The Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition role is focused on managing and advancing data collection processes that support AI model training. This position is pivotal in sourcing, ingesting, and scaling high-quality audio datasets efficiently. The role collaborates with AI scientists and leadership to enhance data infrastructure and drive the development of datasets that power next-generation consumer and enterprise products.
- Responsibilities:

Identify and incorporate new audio data sources into the ingestion pipeline.

Operate and enhance cloud infrastructure for data ingestion using GCP and Terraform.

Collaborate with AI scientists to optimize cost, throughput, and data quality.

Partner with AI team members and leadership to define the dataset development roadmap.
Requirements

BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field.

Over 5 years of software development experience.

Proficiency in bash and Python scripting within Linux environments.

Experience with Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code, with professional use of at least one major cloud provider (preferably GCP).

Familiarity with web crawlers and large-scale data processing workflows is a plus.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- United States base salary range: $140,000 to $200,000 plus bonus and equity, depending on experience.
