Job Title: DevOps Engineer - Lead Location: Richmond, VA ( Hybrid ) Job Description: We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team, focusing on upgrading and optimizing our AWS infrastructure. This role involves working with a heavy AWS environment to upgrade an existing AWS account from v20 to v31 to meet Gen3 requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for adjusting network components, redeploying multiple components with new configurations, and migrating some components to more appropriate accounts owned by other teams. Key Responsibilities:

  • Upgrade AWS account from v20 to v31 to meet Gen3 requirements.
  • Adjust and optimize network components within the AWS environment.
  • Redeploy multiple components with new configurations.
  • Migrate components to appropriate accounts owned by other teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues within the AWS infrastructure.
  • Implement best practices for security, scalability, and reliability.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a strong focus on AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services and infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in network configuration and optimization.
  • Experience with version upgrades and component redeployment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with occasional travel to Plano, TX or Richmond, VA.

Preferred Skills:

  • AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
  • Experience with automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
