Job description
Our client has an opportunity for a 911 Test Analyst to test and certify 911 call handling systems and GIS integrations on Emergency Services IP Networks (ESINet). The role will validate interoperability of Next Generation 911 components, assure adherence to standards and best practices for telephony systems, and document results that support reliable emergency-response communications., * Test and certify 911 call handling applications and GIS systems on ESINet.
- Execute testing for new and proof-of-concept E911 products and networking functionality.
- Review, test, and approve methods of procedure (MOPs) for field site technicians.
- Develop and execute test plans, document defects, and report test results.
- Collaborate with call handling and ESINet suppliers to investigate issues, provide root cause analyses, and drive resolution. Track open defects to closure.
- Perform server room maintenance for vendor CPE and company network equipment, including locating termination endpoints and installing cabling for servers, routers, and related network devices.
- Stage new 911 CPE equipment.
Requirements
- Knowledge of wireline, wireless, VoIP, and related communications technologies.
- Windows desktop and server experience: Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012 or higher.
- Network protocols: SIP/RTP, TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP.
- System integration and testing experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of computers, electronic data processing, and modern office practices.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and attention to detail.
- Preferred: Technical knowledge of 911 call handling systems and telephony architecture (cloud and legacy), including Intrado Viper, Motorola Vesta, and Carbyne APEX.
- Preferred: Experience with firewalls (FortiGate), DNS, PKI, 4G/5G WAN via CradlePoint, ESXi, Azure WAN, AWS Cloud WAN, and Terraform.
- Preferred: Hands-on server room experience including racking and cabling.
- Preferred: Test planning, test case development, execution, and reporting.
- Preferred: Telephony experience with T1s, PRI circuits, and TDM.
- Preferred: Protocol analysis and troubleshooting using tools such as Wireshark, Agilent, and IRIS.
- Preferred: Performance, load, and stability testing.
- Preferred: Experience with VMware, NG911, and ESINet.

Rate: $40.00 to $47.00/hr. w2, Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
