Job description

An internationally operating technology-driven trading firm is looking for a Data Engineer to join its engineering team. The company develops and operates high-performance systems for processing, analyzing, and leveraging large-scale market and trading data in fast-paced, data-intensive environments. Working closely with engineers, researchers, and quantitative specialists, you will contribute to the development of scalable data platforms and pipelines that support business-critical operations and decisionmaking processes.

Ihre Aufgaben

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for market, trading, and transactional data
  • Build and operate both batch and real-time streaming data processing solutions
  • Integrate new data sources, exchanges, and platforms into existing data ecosystems
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, research, and business teams to deliver efficient and reliable data solutions
  • Optimize data infrastructure for performance, scalability, and resilience
  • Contribute to the development of high-availability, low-latency systems
  • Ensure data quality and automate data processing workflows where possible

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline
  • Professional experience in Data Engineering, Big Data, or large-scale data processing environments
  • Strong knowledge of modern data technologies such as Kafka, Flink, ClickHouse, or similar platforms
  • Experience with cloud-native infrastructure and container orchestration technologies, ideally Kubernetes
  • Strong programming skills in Java or Scala and Python; experience with C++ is considered a plus
  • Interest in data-driven systems, distributed architectures, and high-performance environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured and hands-on approach
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken
