Job description

As an AWS Platform Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and evolving enterprise DevOps capabilities across critical cloud and application platforms. Joining CGI means contributing to meaningful outcomes, collaborating with talented professionals, and having the opportunity to influence platform strategy while growing your expertise within a supportive and forward-thinking environment., In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and enhancing enterprise DevOps and platform engineering capabilities that support secure, reliable, and efficient software delivery. Working closely with development, architecture, security, and release management teams, you will help drive the adoption of automation, standardisation, and governance practices across MuleSoft, Salesforce, Heroku, and cloud-based platforms.

You will take ownership of CI/CD pipeline development, release management processes, platform optimisation, and deployment governance while helping teams improve operational efficiency and delivery quality. You will contribute to strategic platform improvements, champion continuous improvement initiatives, and support the evolution towards mature continuous delivery practices within a highly collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design & Deliver enterprise CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipelines and related DevOps tooling

  • Automate & Optimise deployment processes across MuleSoft, Salesforce (Copado), Heroku, and cloud environments

  • Develop & Standardise reusable deployment frameworks, platform standards, and automation patterns

  • Implement & Govern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management best practices

  • Lead & Support release planning, environment promotions, and deployment governance activities

  • Strengthen & Secure delivery pipelines through embedded security controls and quality gates

  • Collaborate & Improve with development, architecture, and security teams to enhance platform capabilities

  • Monitor & Maintain platform performance, scalability, resilience, and operational health

  • Support & Advise teams on API lifecycle management, deployment strategies, and platform best practices

  • Drive & Influence continuous improvement initiatives that enhance delivery efficiency, compliance, and auditability

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will bring strong experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Release Engineering within complex enterprise environments. You will have a solid understanding of CI/CD practices, cloud-based platforms, source control, automation, and delivery governance, combined with excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills. Experience supporting secure software delivery and implementing operational best practices will be key to your success., * Proven experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Release Engineering roles

  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar

  • Strong understanding of Git-based source control, branching strategies, and release workflows

  • Experience supporting cloud-based application platforms, preferably AWS

  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation frameworks, and configuration management principles

  • Experience implementing security controls and quality gates within deployment pipelines

  • Understanding of release management, deployment governance, and software delivery best practices

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

  • Ability to work effectively across multiple technical and business teams

Desirable qualifications:

  • MuleSoft Anypoint Platform administration and deployment experience

  • Salesforce DevOps and Copado experience

  • Heroku administration and deployment experience

  • Experience with Jira and Atlassian toolsets

  • Knowledge of API management, versioning, and integration patterns

  • Exposure to DevSecOps tooling and security scanning platforms

  • Experience operating within enterprise change and release management environments

  • Additional cloud platform experience across Azure and/or GCP
