Senior Technical Documentation Developer

CGI Federal seeks a Senior Technical Documentation Developer to support documentation requirements for a complex cloud engineering and application development program. This role will develop and maintain documentation supporting architecture, operations, security, Agile processes, and system deployment. This position is located in our Fairfax, VA or Lafayette, LA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

· Prepare documentation outlines, drafts, and final deliverables that meet contract standards.

· Translate highly technical information into clear, accurate narratives for diverse audiences.

· Develop system design documentation, architecture decision records, runbooks, and SOPs.

· Support documentation for compliance activities, onboarding, and release readiness.

· Maintain code documentation and consistent commenting standards.

· Coordinate with multiple technical teams and support Agile-related documentation needs.

· Experience documenting technical systems, cloud environments, or software platforms.

· Ability to gather and validate information from various technical sources.

· Ability to write to compliance-driven or regulated-environment requirements.

· US Citizenship and ability to meet federal clearance requirements.

Desired:

· Experience documenting cloud systems or security architecture.
