Technical Payments Product Owner (ISO 20022 & APIs)/ Scrum Master

We are seeking an elite Technical Product Owner / Scrum Master for a 6+ month onsite contract engagement in Atlanta, GA. This critical role sits at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution, driving end-to-end requirement refinement across multiple enterprise Payment RAILs. The successful candidate will combine rigorous agile delivery expertise with deep technical fluency in APIs, data serializations, and global messaging standards to translate sophisticated business needs into developer-ready engineering roadmaps., ??Own end-to-end requirement refinement for all core Payment RAILs (including SWIFT, ACH, and RTGS), ensuring business objectives are meticulously scoped.

??Deliver highly detailed technical documentation, mapping out complex specifications using JSON, YAML, Postman, and Swagger/OpenAPI models.

??Lead and facilitate all foundational Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, system reviews, and retrospectives to optimize team velocity.

??Serve as the primary bridge between engineering delivery teams, compliance offices, and business stakeholders to deploy highly scalable, secure financial solutions.

??Maintain a single source of truth across product lifecycles utilizing Rally and Confluence to manage user stories, acceptance criteria, and system dependencies.

??Utilize advanced knowledge of ISO 20022 messaging standards to validate, optimize, and govern end-to-end message flows within modern banking ecosystems.

Primary (Must-Have):

??Technical Requirement Documentation & Refinement (JSON, YAML, REST API specs)

??Agile/Scrum Leadership (Running all Scrum ceremonies, backlog grooming, sprint planning)

??Core Payments Domain Knowledge (Payment RAILs: SWIFT, ACH, RTGS, etc.)

??ISO 20022 Messaging Standards & End-to-End Payment Processing Flows

??Hands-on Tool Proficiency: Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, RALLY, and Confluence

??7+ years of experience as a Technical Product Owner/Scrum Master within FinTech or Banking

Secondary (Good to Have):

??Cross-functional stakeholder management (bridging Engineering, Compliance, and Business teams)

??Familiarity with financial compliance and security regulations governing high-value payment rails
