Job description
CGI Federal is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Architect to lead architecture design across multiple cloud environments supporting a large-scale innovation and analytics program. This position will define enterprise cloud patterns, design secure and scalable solutions, and guide implementation teams across a complex technical ecosystem.
This position is located in our Fairfax, VA or Lafayette, LA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
· Architect multi-environment AWS infrastructures supporting research, development, testing, and production workloads.
· Develop secure IAM architectures aligned to least-privilege principles.
· Provide solution architecture for application modernization, COTS integration, and cloud-native application design.
· Govern architectural decisions and maintain system design documentation.
· Support development of ATO-aligned materials and security architecture artifacts.
· Optimize cloud performance and cost management.
· Participate in Agile planning and provide architecture oversight across teams.
· May serve as the program's Vendor Technical Lead, coordinating daily technical activities.
· Deployment/operationalization activities.
· Ongoing maintenance/operations partnership.
Requirements
· Extensive experience architecting enterprise AWS solutions.
· Deep expertise in cloud networking, IAM, security architectures, and multi-account strategies.
· Demonstrated experience producing enterprise architecture documentation.
· US Citizenship and ability to meet federal clearance requirements.
Desired:
· Experience with cloud cost optimization and enterprise governance models.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $80,600.00 - $198,400.00.
