Job description

The System Engineer will support multiple AEGIS and CSL programs as an Individual Contributor tied to combat systems display. This role focuses on requirements development, user interface design support, test procedure creation, and cross?functional collaboration to ensure high?quality system performance and capability delivery., * Requirements Development for User Interfaces, including: Creating Detailed Design Disclosures for capability enhancements (PowerPoint), Authoring requirement specification changes in Jazz, and Leading and participating in peer reviews with software, domain experts, and other engineering groups.

  • Test Procedure Development for new and existing UI requirements
  • Supporting software implementation and testing for new loads
  • Conducting requirement verification testing to validate new and legacy capabilities
  • Problem Report Investigation through root?cause analysis and coordination of software fixes, transfers, or withdrawals
  • Collaborating across engineering, software, and domain teams to ensure successful requirement closure and system performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
  • Active Interim SECRET clearance or higher.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
  • 2-7+ years of Systems Engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team?based environment.
  • Experience supporting DOORS, Jazz, or similar application.
  • Experience supporting the DoD or US Navy specifically.
  • Currently local to OR willing to relocate to Southern NJ or the Philadelphia, PA area and willing to work onsite 5 days per week.

NICE TO HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with User Interface Design (SE2 level).
  • Experience with Requirements Development for AEGIS programs (SE2 level).
  • Experience writing specification changes.
  • Ability to provide systems engineering guidance during software design, code reviews, and unit test reviews.
  • Experience with Level 3 test planning, ET&E/product verification, and regression testing.
  • Experience with PR/INT issue investigation, root?cause analysis, and MEIT?level product support.
  • Experience with Linux.
  • Familiarity with Java.
  • Demonstrated eagerness to learn new technologies and processes.
