Job description
Under the direction of the Sr. Manager, Enterprise Applications, the Senior Systems Administrator will be the primary owner of the infrastructure that hosts, supports, and scales our MES - OpsCenter and MEAS solutions. You will design, implement, and maintain the underlying servers, virtualization, storage, networking, and automation frameworks that enable real?time production control, data analytics, and operational visibility across multiple fab sites., * Configure and maintain MES software and associated infrastructure, including user account management, system updates, and performance monitoring to ensure high availability
- Program in languages like SQL, Scripting, HTML, Web services and object-oriented programming concepts, with strong knowledge of database management and
- Prepare and maintain detailed MES documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), test scripts (IQ/OQ), validation documents (for regulated environments), and change management records
- Daily monitoring for systems and taking action to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Work with external vendors as required
- Responds to inquiries from other team members, managers, or departments
- Overtime may be required contingent on business needs
- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures as required
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level*
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field and/or equivalent relevant experience
- Previous hands-on (5-10 years) experience in a technical role with MES platforms, specifically Siemens OpsCenter and MESA
- Proficiency with enterprise-class Windows/OS 400 system environments
- Six years of experience working in the magnetic recording head, hard disk drive, or semiconductor industry
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge and ability to configure and maintain MES software and associated infrastructure, including user account management, system updates, and performance monitoring to ensure high availability
- Daily monitoring for systems and taking action to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Working with external vendors as required
- Knowledge of the semiconductor and hard disk drive industry principles, practices, and techniques
- Ability to lead infrastructure projects such as hardware refresh and participate in change management (ITIL) and compliance audits
- Knowledge and the ability to use SQL, OS 400, HTML, scripting and web services
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN, firewalls and network security best practices
- Ability to provide on-call support to quickly address emergency production downtime and maintain operational flow
- Knowledge of and ability to use MS Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access to analyze data, create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
- Ability to work productively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management
- Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with contractors, consultants, employees, management, and vendors
- Ability to adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
- Flexible and able to prioritize
Benefits & conditions
The annual rate for this full-time position is between $35.00-45.00 + bonus target + benefits. Within the range the individual pay may differ depending on additional factors including job responsibilities, job related knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and experience. The annual pay range shown is subject to change and may be modified periodically.
