The Developers will support customization and modernization of applications through scaled Agile development and process improvement within a quickly growing enterprise case management implementation on the Pega platform.

Job Duties include (but may not be limited to):

  • Work as part of a collaborative team designing and developing scalable maintainable solutions on the Pega platform
  • Adhere to business process design to meet business expectations and objectives
  • Understand client needs and requirements and provide insight and innovation to accomplish tasks
  • Lead and/or participate in discussions with team members and support Agile activities for function and solution development
  • Adhere to program and industry best practices
  • Interact across teams and/or with vendors, as assigned
  • Participate in continuous learning and staying up to date with latest Pega releases, features, and certifications
  • Other duties as assigned according to Pega Developer role/level

Requirements

(This program requires a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance. The selected candidate shall not start work until authorization and first day logistics are approved by the program.), * U.S. citizenship, no dual citizenship

  • Current IRS MBI access or ability to obtain (unable to start work until security access is authorized)
  • Certified Pega System Architect (CPSA) certification
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline; additional years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree pending customer approval

Position requirements vary by level and may include:

  • 2 -15 years of related experience (depending on role level)
  • Pega-specific developer experience such as:
  • Proficiency working in a software/systems development role with Pega platform and low-code tools and COTS platforms
  • Strong understanding of Pega Frameworks
  • Experience working with Pega 8 or higher
  • Expertise with Java and/or JavaScript supporting Pega development
  • Expertise with SQL concepts for data manipulation supporting Pega development
  • Experience with web technologies (HTML/CSS/JS) to complement Pega's built-in functionality
  • Experience with APIs and connectors to integrate Pega applications
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and adherence to guardrails following Pega best practices and using latest Pega features
  • Experience conceptualizing process structures and Pega layers
  • Experience with Pega for case management
  • Experience with user-centered design for application development within the Pega platform
  • Ability to design for and subsequently reuse services, capabilities, and features in Pega
  • Experience with Pega as part of a large-scale implementation
  • Demonstrated ability to learn from other team members and/or senior team members
  • Demonstrated experience translating business requirements into efficient technical solutions
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues during development process
  • Proficient at designing, documenting, and troubleshooting complex technical problems
  • Ability to produce efficient process workflows from business requirements
  • Experience with Agile environment and iterative development and using version control tools
  • Experience with enterprise-level lifecycle management
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills to interact with functional and technical team members including working directly with client stakeholders
  • Ability to translate technical requirements to technical and non-technical team members
  • Experience developing and maintaining requirements documentation
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to working group meetings and supporting a highly collaborative environment
  • Advanced skills working across Microsoft Office Suite including Excel
  • Experience managing work independently and organizing workloads to meet project deadlines
  • Ability to work as a team player, problem solver, and seek consensus with team members

Preferred experience:

  • Active Treasury Public Trust Clearance Preferred (IRS MBI) is preferred
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification and/or prior implementation with Scaled Agile Framework is preferred
  • Experience with IBM Enterprise Lifecycle Management (ELM) requirements documentation is preferred
  • Experience designing wireframes for a COTS platform
  • Experience using Sketch, Mural, Just in Mind, Invision, and similar technologies is a plus
  • Experience ingesting large and complex sets of data and converting them into actionable data insights is a plus
  • Advanced Pega certifications are a plus
