Job description
As the Senior System Administrator, you will be responsible for hands-on system administration, supporting system maintenance and operations, and recommending software and hardware enhancements. Your role will involve building, configuring, and troubleshooting software and hardware enhancements, as well as diagnosing and resolving computer system issues to maintain uninterrupted operations, * 24/7 System Maintenance and Operations Support - Ensure the continuous, non-stop operation of the Real-Time Control Center (RTCC) by providing round-the-clock support.
- Perform preventive care on the system, including TCP/IP, Transport, Network, and Link Models, through tasks such as backups, upgrades, monthly routines, and virus scans.
- Corrective Maintenance and Issue Resolution:
- Conduct on-site corrective care by promptly addressing system issues and supporting the real-time replacement of faulty parts or components.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and system issues to facilitate continuous improvement and effective problem-solving.
- Provide expert support in system upgrades and modifications, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions to operations.
- Recommend software and hardware enhancements to optimize system performance and security.
- Training and Knowledge Transfer - Conduct periodic training and on-the-job training (OJT) for the implementation team and clients, empowering them to detect, diagnose, and resolve common issues.
- Share best practices and industry insights to enhance the team's overall capabilities.
- Appoint and train an "On-Call" replacement from the implementation team as a backup to handle emergencies and maintain continuous system operations.
- High Availability and Backup Strategies - Establish and implement backup plans to ensure high availability of critical systems and data.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Microsoft Exchange?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in system administration, supporting IT infrastructure and operations.
- An associate's degree in information technology (IT) or a related field, although equivalent experience will be considered.
- Specialization in areas such as Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, and Network Management/Administration.
- Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), demonstrating your expertise and commitment to professional development.
- Recommendations from existing employers and clients about satisfaction with your performance and your abilities.
