Senior SAP EWM Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Manager to lead the design, implementation, optimization, and support of enterprise warehouse management solutions within a global SAP landscape. This individual will serve as a techno-functional leader responsible for driving SAP EWM strategy, managing large-scale implementations, partnering with business stakeholders, and leading global delivery teams across onshore and offshore locations.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP EWM, warehouse operations, supply chain execution, logistics processes, SAP S/4HANA, and end-to-end system implementations. This role requires a strong blend of business process knowledge, technical leadership, project management, solution architecture, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

SAP EWM Leadership & Strategy

• Lead the design, implementation, rollout, and continuous improvement of SAP EWM solutions across multiple warehouse and distribution environments.
• Serve as the SAP EWM subject matter expert and trusted advisor to business and IT leadership.
• Develop and maintain the SAP warehouse management roadmap aligned with organizational supply chain objectives.
• Provide strategic guidance on warehouse automation, inventory optimization, labor efficiency, and logistics transformation initiatives.

Business Partnership & Requirements Management

• Collaborate closely with warehouse operations, logistics, distribution, transportation, procurement, manufacturing, and supply chain leadership to understand business requirements.
• Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to gather and document business processes and future-state requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical solution designs.
• Create and review business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process flows, and solution documentation.

SAP EWM Solution Design & Configuration

• Lead configuration and solution design activities across SAP EWM modules and capabilities including:
• Inbound Processing
• Outbound Processing
• Inventory Management
• Warehouse Task Management
• Resource Management
• Labor Management
• Slotting and Rearrangement
• Wave Management
• Yard Management
• Cross Docking
• Physical Inventory
• RF Framework
• Handling Unit Management
• Warehouse Monitor
• Quality Inspection Integration
• Design scalable warehouse solutions supporting high-volume distribution and fulfillment operations.
• Ensure alignment with SAP best practices and industry standards.

SAP S/4HANA Integration

• Lead integration efforts between SAP EWM and:
• SAP S/4HANA
• SAP TM (Transportation Management)
• SAP MM
• SAP SD
• SAP PP
• SAP QM
• SAP Manufacturing Execution Systems
• Third-party logistics (3PL) platforms
• Warehouse automation systems
• Support end-to-end supply chain process integration from procurement through fulfillment.

Project & Program Leadership

• Manage multiple SAP EWM implementation projects, enhancements, upgrades, and global rollouts.
• Oversee project planning, resource allocation, risk management, issue resolution, and executive reporting.
• Lead all phases of implementation:

• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet business objectives.

Global Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor SAP EWM analysts, consultants, developers, and support resources.
• Manage both onshore and offshore delivery teams.
• Coordinate activities across functional, technical, and business teams.
• Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and solution governance activities.
• Foster collaboration across geographically dispersed teams.

Testing & Deployment

• Lead SIT, UAT, regression testing, and end-to-end integration testing activities.
• Develop test strategies, test scripts, and deployment plans.
• Support cutover planning and go-live readiness assessments.
• Ensure successful deployment and business adoption.

Operational Excellence & Support

• Provide leadership for production support and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Resolve complex warehouse management issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Drive process standardization and operational efficiency improvements.
• Establish KPIs and metrics to measure warehouse system performance and business value.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of SAP experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on SAP EWM experience.
• 5+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Multiple full lifecycle SAP EWM implementations.
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Deep understanding of warehouse operations and distribution center processes.
• Experience leading large-scale global implementation programs.
• Proven ability to lead both onshore and offshore teams.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and process design skills.
• Experience managing vendors, consulting partners, and system integrators.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP EWM Certification.
• SAP S/4HANA EWM implementation experience.
• Experience with SAP TM integration.
• Experience with warehouse automation technologies.
• Experience with RF devices, barcode scanning, voice picking, and robotics integration.
• Experience supporting high-volume retail, manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, or logistics environments.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and SAP Activate methodologies.
• PMP, SAFe, or related project management certifications.
