Job description
You build the platform that the firm actually depends on, with no external investors or customers to answer to. This is a rare setup: The products you create are used internally, which means the work you do has a direct and visible impact on how the business grows. No diluted feedback loops, no layers of account management. Just you, the platform, and the results.
You are joining at a pivotal moment. The firm is modernizing its trading and research platform to scale its alpha trading business. Researchers will use what you build to explore, test, and deploy sophisticated signals, models, and strategies across asset classes, in a fully automated and highly competitive latency environment. You are responsible for building, maintaining, and supporting the platform that makes all of that possible.
Day-to-day you are working across networking, kernel bypass, market data, order entry, threading, inter-process communication, and strategy APIs. You are profiling and optimising performance, digging into CPU caches and cache efficiency, and ensuring the system holds up under real trading conditions. Linux is your native environment, right down to kernel-level device mechanisms.
Requirements
You know C++ deeply. You understand multithreaded and multi-process synchronization, you are comfortable with networking protocols, and you have done this in a genuine HFT environment before.
Benefits & conditions
In return you get up to $300,000, 25 days paid time off, performance-based bonus opportunities, fully equipped workstations with high-quality hardware, and a modern office with paid lunches.
