AI/ML Engineer

We are looking for an experienced AI Engineer for a contract engagement onsite in Woodland Hills, CA. You will play a key role in designing, building, and deploying intelligent AI-powered solutions on Azure Cloud, with a focus on agentic workflows, GenAI, and enterprise-scale data pipelines. This role requires prior experience working with Healthcare Payer organizations and operating within regulated, compliance-driven environments., * Design and develop AI/ML solutions leveraging vector embeddings, prompt engineering, and context engineering.

• Build and maintain Agentic AI workflows using A2A frameworks and MCP Protocol.
• Deploy and manage cloud-native applications on Azure, including Azure Functions and Azure Container Apps.
• Work with data stores including Azure AI Search, Redis, and Cosmos DB to support AI/ML pipelines.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to architect scalable, performant, and secure solutions.
• Operate within HIPAA-compliant and regulated Healthcare Payer data environments.
• Contribute to GenAI application development aligned with NLM and ML best practices.

• Mandatory: Prior experience working with Healthcare Payers (e.g., health insurance plans, managed care organizations, or similar payer-side entities).
• Hands-on experience with Agentic Layer A2A frameworks and MCP Protocol.
• Strong expertise in vector embeddings, prompt engineering, and context engineering.
• Solid understanding of GenAI, NLM, and ML concepts.
• Proficient in Python; exposure to Java or Go is a plus.
• Experience deploying solutions on Azure Cloud.
• Proficiency with Azure AI Search, Redis, and Cosmos DB.
• Proven ability to design and manage Azure Functions and Azure Container Apps.
• Strong grasp of cloud-native architecture, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and regulated/compliant data environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Java or Go in AI/data pipeline contexts.
• Familiarity with Blob Storage and Apache Iceberg.
• Experience with Claims, Eligibility, Prior Authorization, or Member 360 data domains within a Payer context.
