Job description
Day-to-Day:
- Research new service territories and identify all permitting authorities
- Analyze jurisdictional requirements across city, county, state, federal, tribal, rail, and utilities
- Build permitting matrices and territory profiles for new markets
- Evaluate local ordinances and historical approval timelines
- Identify high-risk jurisdictions and flag cost/schedule impacts
- Provide detailed risk, cost, and timeline analysis for RFPs
- Partner with proposal teams to deliver regulatory intelligence for bids
Requirements
- 3-5 years of telecom/ROW regulatory or permitting experience
- Strong understanding of multi-jurisdictional permitting (city, state, federal, rail, utilities)
- Experience with geospatial tools (Google Earth, ArcGIS)
- Proven ability to assess permitting risk, cost, and timelines for projects/RFPs
- Experience interpreting plant/route maps
- Strong analytical + communication skills
Plusses:
- Experience building permitting matrices or territory analyses
- RFP/bid support with regulatory insights
- Knowledge of specialty permits across multiple regions
- Basic understanding of fiber builds (HDD, conduit)
- Experience analyzing historical permitting performance
