Job description
This role focuses on designing, operating, and continuously improving local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks. You''ll collaborate with a small team to monitor and maintain network connectivity while proposing design improvements. The position offers the opportunity to work on large-scale network projects and initiatives, allowing for significant impact within the organization., * Design and operate LAN, WAN, and wireless networks to ensure optimal performance and connectivity.
- Monitor and maintain network connectivity, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
- Collaborate with other network staff to propose and implement design improvements for large-scale network projects, including Fortinet and Cisco environments.
- Document network configurations and changes to maintain accurate records and facilitate troubleshooting.
- Interact with internal clients to understand their networking needs and provide effective solutions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in related IT infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Hands-on experience in configuring BGP, OSPF, IPSEC site-to-site VPN, and VoIP.
- Experience with enterprise remote access solutions such as SSL VPNs.
- Proficient with backup and restore technologies and best practices.
