Job description
- You will determine overall technical design of public/intranet websites and database-driven web applications
- You will develop, test, and maintain secure and scalable code for enterprise web applications using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- You will translate functional requirements into technical specifications, website designs, database schemas, and applications.
- You will diagnose and resolve complex programming issues to ensure the maximum functionality, security, and integrity of all web services.
- You will ensure all web development and application coding strictly complies with DoD information security standards and accessibility requirements

This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 451 (SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR), proficiency level INTERMEDIATE. The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
The position often requires irregular hours.
Requirements
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing, testing, and maintaining secure, database-driven web applications using a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) stack or similar enterprise development environment; 2) Creating standards-compliant, accessible, and device-agnostic code using expert-level HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including experience with modern frameworks; 3) Diagnosing and resolving complex programming problems in both front-end and back-end code to ensure application stability, performance, and security; AND 4) Translating complex functional requirements into technical designs, structured database schemas, and applications., Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment., This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
