This is a junior IT role ideal for someone with hands-on enthusiasm, not necessarily a graduate. If you tinker with PCs, run home servers, explore networking, or like taking things apart to understand how they work - we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
Primary Focus: Hosting & Operations
- Carry out daily operational checks across systems and infrastructure
- Assist with monitoring and maintaining systems across two datacentres
- Help manage renewals for domain names and digital certificates
- Support quarterly compliance activities (PCI DSS)
- Work with Cisco Firewall, Linux, Windows Server, and SQL Server environments
Secondary: Internal IT Support
- Support Windows desktop environments and Microsoft 365
- Perform basic networking and firewall configuration
- Commission and maintain PCs and laptops
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for colleagues
This role is designed to grow. Over time, you'll take on more advanced hosting and infrastructure responsibilities.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Microsoft Windows Server?, We have a strong preference for people who live locally., * A genuine passion for technology, infrastructure, and problem solving
- Someone who experiments: builds PCs, runs home labs, plays with Linux, networks, servers, etc.
- Curiosity and a desire to understand how things work
- Some coding/scripting ability
- Strong attention to detail and a creative, tenacious approach to challenges
- Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
Not essential:
- A degree - we care more about enthusiasm and hands-on experience
- Professional experience - if you've been learning at home, that counts, * Are you authorised to work in the Uk for 3+ years?
- Have you built or upgraded a PC?

- Monday to Friday, 7.5-hour shift between 8:00am and 6:30pm

Selection Process
