We are seeking a highly motivated Remote Systems / Website Assistant to support the development, maintenance, and optimisation of our digital platforms. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about web design, user experience, and front-end development. The successful candidate will collaborate with our creative and technical teams to enhance website functionality, visual appeal, and overall user engagement. A strong foundation in various digital design tools, programming languages, and content management systems is essential to succeed in this position., * Assist in designing and implementing responsive websites using HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, and Vue.js.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to improve website architecture and user interface (UI).
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Balsamiq, and Axure.
- Maintain and update existing websites through content management systems such as WordPress and Drupal.
- optimise websites for search engines (SEO) using best practices in content structuring and technical adjustments.
- Perform website maintenance tasks including troubleshooting issues with Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign.
- Analyse website traffic data via Google Analytics to inform design improvements and content strategies.
- Collaborate with graphic designers to create engaging visual content using Adobe Creative Suite tools including After Effects and Animate.
- Ensure websites are responsive across all devices by applying responsive web design principles with Bootstrap, SCSS, or Less.
- Support front-end development with frameworks like Node.js, Redux, and AJAX for dynamic content loading.
- Conduct regular updates to optimise website performance and security protocols.
Requirements
Do you have experience in PHP?, * Proven experience in web design or front-end development with a portfolio demonstrating previous projects.
- Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including frameworks like React or Angular), PHP, and SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience working with UX/UI principles along with wireframing and prototyping tools like Figma or InVision.
- Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and Adobe XD.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while managing multiple projects efficiently.
- Excellent organisational skills coupled with strong attention to detail in both visual design and technical implementation.
