Unix Systems Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION: Will work with hot new start-up doing Pre/Post Sales Support for company which provides client server systems software. Hands-on individual will handle multiple accounts and multi-task oriented jobs. Integration and troubleshooting of systems & applications. Position may lead to management opportunity.

REQUIRED SKILLS: Unix systems Administration - 3 to 5 years (preferably SUN) Production management, capacity/performance analysis or network/application architecture in a complex IT environment. Basic scripting skills, file management, knowledge of OS level performance tools. Hands on with capcity planning/performance management tools from one of a variety of software vendors. Excellent at problem solving, ability to turn large complex problems into manageable sub-tasks. Ability to process and support multiple accounts concurrently, and to handle pressure. Good oral and written communication skills, team oriented, positive "can do" attitude.

DESIRED SKILLS: Familiarity with system administration/performance management aspects of large vendor supplied applications (e.g. SAP,Baan,Peoplesoft,Oracle or other ERP type applications). Ability to work in a "small company" environment that is positioned for rapid growth.
