Network Operations Analyst (NOC)

• Troubleshoot and resolve network outages or degraded performance involving Cisco routers, Juniper devices, or other network hardware
• Manage and configure network security devices including firewalls (Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS systems, VPNs (IPsec), and Cisco ISE for authentication and access control
• Perform system hardening, vulnerability assessments, and regular audits to ensure compliance with security standards such as ITIL and best practices
• Support network installation projects involving LAN/WAN setup, VLAN configuration, load balancing solutions, and high availability architectures using VMware vSphere or ESXi
• Automate routine tasks with scripting languages like Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, Python or Ansible to improve efficiency and consistency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network architecture planning, SDLC processes, DevOps initiatives, and system upgrades across diverse operating systems including Windows, Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS), BSD variants, macOS, Solaris, openSUSE

Do you have experience in Windows support?, * Proven experience in computer networking with a solid understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP/EIGRP; network protocols including TCP/IP; DNS; DHCP; MPLS; QoS; SSL/TLS encryption; and IP networking fundamentals

• Hands-on knowledge of network security concepts including SSO (Single Sign-On), LDAP integration, PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), SFTP/FTP/HTTPS protocols for secure data transfer
• Familiarity with enterprise IT infrastructure components like SAN/NAS storage systems (e.g., EMC or similar), RAID controllers, VMware vSphere/ESXi virtualization platforms
• Experience managing firewalls (Cisco ASA), VPNs (IPsec), load balancers, SDN solutions like Meraki or Citrix; proficiency with network management tools such as SolarWinds or SolarWinds equivalents
• Strong background in system administration across multiple operating systems-Windows Server environments; Linux distributions such as Debian or CentOS; UNIX-based systems like BSD or Solaris-plus scripting skills for automation purposes
• Knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS or Azure for hybrid cloud networking solutions; familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform vulnerability assessments using tools like Splunk or PRTG; experience with system hardening practices to enhance security posture
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP Cisco certifications; CompTIA Security+ or Network+; VMware certifications; ITIL foundations are highly desirable
