The DevSecOps Software Developer SME will design, build, troubleshoot, and maintain automation and integration capabilities for mission-focused cloud and software delivery environments. The engineer will reduce manual work, improve repeatability, support secure delivery, and document solutions.

- Develop automation that improves consistency, reliability, and delivery speed.
- Support secure software delivery, operational sustainment, and compliance-driven engineering activities.
- Help convert engineering needs into practical scripts, tools, pipelines, documentation, and repeatable processes.
- Provide guidance to less experienced engineers and support team execution under the Cloud and Software Factory leads.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Apply expert knowledge across the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, debugging, release, and sustainment.
- Design and maintain automation for infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, operational support tasks, and integration workflows.
- Develop scripts, tools, services, and process improvements using common scripting, programming, automation, and cloud technologies.
- Analyze user and business needs, translate them into technical designs, and produce diagrams, workflows, and implementation plans.
- Create and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and evidence artifacts.
- Support secure configuration management, vulnerability remediation, scan integration, and compliance support activities.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across application, operating system, infrastructure, cloud, network, identity, and CI/CD boundaries.
- May coach and provide guidance to less experienced professionals; may serve as a task lead.
- Perform additional duties as assigned in support of program delivery and operational sustainment., * Engineering team supporting cloud infrastructure, software factory services, automation, security compliance, and production operations.
- Work may include both planned engineering buildout and troubleshooting of mission-impacting issues.
- The engineer will take technical directions from the Technical Delivery Manager, Deputy TDM, or Cloud/Software Factory lead as needed to complete required tasks.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, network, application, and customer teams.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Version control?, * Ability to work independently under limited supervision and follow through on assigned engineering work.
- Practical automation experience with the judgment to build supportable, maintainable solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and comfort working through incomplete requirements or logs.
- Ability to communicate technical decisions, risks, and status clearly to engineers and non-engineers.
- Understanding of security, documentation, change control, and operational stability in a mission environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in federal, DoD, cloud, classified, or other controlled environments.
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD or comparable pipeline platforms and source-control workflows.
- Experience with cloud automation, event-driven workflows, containerized applications, and infrastructure as code.
- Cloud, DevOps, security, or infrastructure certifications relevant to the role., Required Skills: Experience with scripting or software development, CI/CD or automation tooling, cloud or infrastructure services, source control, technical troubleshooting, and documentation.
Required Certification: DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification such as Security+ CE.
Clearance: Top Secret
Required Experience: 10+ years of related software development, automation, DevOps, cloud, systems engineering, or mission IT experience.
Preferred Skills: Exposure to PowerShell, Python, Bash, GitLab or similar CI/CD tools, containers, cloud services (Azure, AWS), infrastructure as code, security scanning, vulnerability remediation, and controlled or regulated environments., Years of Experience 10 + years of related experience

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
