Job description

The Data and Reporting Professional 2 generates ad hoc reports and regular datasets or report information for end-users using system tools and database or data warehouse queries and scripts. The Data and Reporting Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action. This role works closely with Humana at Home's clinical leadership team to develop and deliver operational reporting and performance measures around Humana's clinical programs, processes, and initiatives.

Responsibilities

The Data and Reporting Professional 2 integrates data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements. Programs and maintains report forms and formats, information dashboards, data generators, canned reports and other end-user information portals or resources. May create specifications for reports based on business requests. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and establish strong and effective working relationships with Home Ops leadership and other departments

Derive observations and insights from metrics to support and improve clinical operations

Conduct independent research necessary to fully understand and correctly utilize the required clinical data

Design, development, and deliver of operational reports, dashboards, and adhoc requests

Continually identify ways to improve and enhance current reports, increasing value and usability

Collect and document business requirements for reporting and analysis initiatives

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in analytics or related field

1 or more years of experience in SQL

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including ability to link pivots to external data sources, creating pivot tables and summarizing data into reports and dashboards

Experience creating automated reports and self-service tools

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple or competing priorities

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field

Advanced proficiency in SQL, SAS and other data systems

Experience with tools such as Tableau and Power BI for creating data visualizations

Experience in managed care or health care sector

Prior experience working in a system analytics and/or data warehousing environment
