Job description

We are seeking an experienced Network Tools Administrator to join our technology-based program supporting a key government customer. As a Network Tool Administrator, you will play a critical role in updating servers, network monitoring, and operations support. The Network Tool Administrator shall possess the following capabilities:

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and patch network monitoring and management tools.
  • Monitor network performance, analyze traffic patterns, and manage alerts for network anomalies.
  • Set up and manage alerts for network anomalies, ensuring a timely response.
  • Ensure that all changes to the network inventory are accurately recorded and updated in real-time.
  • Work closely with network engineers, IT support teams, and other stakeholders to ensure network inventory needs are met.

We are looking for skilled individuals to provide technical expertise in support of a government client., * Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of experience.

  • Strong understanding of network protocols, architecture, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting and performance optimization.
  • Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools such as OpenText NOM, Nagios, PRTG Network Monitor, Wireshark, etc.
  • Ability to create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and policies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
  • Strong data analysis skills to generate actionable insights from network data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with IT staff and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to team goals.

Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph
