Software Systems Engineer 5

Develop and maintain requirements, architecture, algorithms, interfaces, and design for C2 software systems Lead and support software development activities within a scaled agile and DevSecOps environment Integrate software components into fully functional systems with automated testing and quality checks Participate in product ownership, technical leadership, and system architecture decisions Support customer demonstrations and presentations to stakeholders and leadership Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to manage development schedules and cost baselines Troubleshoot complex issues and contribute to new solution development

Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, or related field 14+ years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or software development (space or ground-based systems) 3+ years of experience leading software development projects 3+ years of experience with Java, C++, or Python Experience with Flight Dynamics, Orbital Analysis, Satellite Management Systems, or Ground Control Systems Must be a U.S. citizen to comply with security clearance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a Product Owner or Technical Lead Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL), messaging systems (Kafka, ActiveMQ), and data streaming (CCSDS) Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) Experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) Familiarity with formal testing processes (FQT, FAT, SAT) Active TS/SCI or Top Secret clearance
