An opportunity is available for an Intermediate to Senior Software Engineer to support a large, restricted team focused on the development and sustainment of mission-operational software product lines. This role involves working on new capabilities for a national security mission. This position is 100% on-site in a specialized facility., Perform as a C++ software developer in a fast-paced agile team environment using Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). Design, code, and unit test new software capabilities based on mathematical algorithm requirements. Identify, troubleshoot, and provide software fixes for discrepancy reports. Collaborate with subject matter experts and senior engineers across multiple software subsystems.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5 to 8 years of experience, a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 3 to 6 years of experience, or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 1 to 4 years of experience. An additional 4 years of relevant software experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience Must possess an active SSBI at the time of application and have the ability to obtain SCI prior to the start date. This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen.
Technical Skills Advanced Object-Oriented programming skills and proficiency with C++. Knowledge of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system is required, along with demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills., DevSecOps Test Automation experience. Experience with programming or scripting languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, or Perl. Background in mathematics and algorithms. Previous participation on an Agile scrum team or familiarity with the Agile process. Familiarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo). Experience developing in a Linux environment using git. An active SCI security clearance.
