Requirements

A well-established financial services technology company is looking for a high-achieving Computer Science graduate to join its Agile software engineering team.

This is an ideal opportunity for either a 2026 graduate, or someone who has already graduated, who wants a great commercial software engineering role with structured training, mentoring, and real responsibility from day one.

You will be working on business-critical systems used across a financial services environment, gaining hands-on experience with C#, PHP, SQL Server, MVC, JavaScript/jQuery, CSS, Azure, and modern software development practices.

Full training will be provided, so you do not need commercial experience in every technology listed. What matters most is strong academic performance, a genuine interest in software engineering, and the ability to learn quickly.

What you will be doing

  • Building and improving internal and customer-facing software systems
  • Writing clean, maintainable code across web, database, and cloud-based applications
  • Working with experienced developers in an Agile team
  • Learning C#, PHP, SQL Server, MVC, JavaScript/jQuery, CSS, and Azure
  • Contributing to real projects while receiving structured technical support
  • Using dedicated training time to build your skills and work towards certifications

What we are looking for

  • MUST HAVE a First-Class Computer Science degree, or a definite predicted First for 2026
  • Degree from a strong UK university, highly ranked for Computer Science
  • Good understanding of object-oriented programming from university projects, personal projects, placement work, or internships
  • Experience with at least one OOP language such as C#, Java, PHP, C++, Python, or similar
  • Strong SQL/database querying knowledge, using SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar
  • Interest in cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS
  • Clear communication skills and the motivation to work well in a remote Agile team
  • UK right to work without visa sponsorship

Benefits & conditions

  • £25,000 starting salary
  • Salary review after probation
  • Bonus scheme
  • Fully remote working anywhere in the UK
  • Structured graduate training programme
  • 20% dedicated time for training, certifications, and technical development
  • Exposure to commercial financial services systems
  • Tech meetups, health plan, and all equipment provided
  • A supportive route into a long-term software engineering career
