Cloud Infra Engineer (SC Cleared)

SC Cleared Cloud Infra Engineer 6 Month contract initially + Extensions Based: Hybrid - Max of 3 days p/w onsite in Derby Rate: £Market rates p/d - (via Umbrella company)

Key Responsibilities: As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you are required to work in complex development and migration of application projects to Azure cloud. You will work with business analysts, application developers, architects and data stakeholders to understand the customer business cases and build Azure environment secured and scalable.

Key Accountabilities

• Understanding the requirement and bring out highly scalable Azure solution design and delivering End-to-End Implementation working with Azure architects
• Building and Implementation of environment setup in Azure cloud for applications, data team and DevOps.
• Understanding in the use of dockers, containers, and Kubernetes in development processes.
• Good co-ordination with Architects, App Developers, Data Engineers and POTs team for resolving infrastructure related issues.
• Implementation of Azure cloud resources with security features enabled.
• Ownership of documentation, tracking and prioritizing tasks and highlighting the foreseen blockers upfront
• Ensure the Azure cloud environment is implemented using best practices and as per architecture governance & compliance rules

Key Skills/knowledge/experience:

• Ideally 10+ years of experience in Azure Cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Experience in designing solutions and implementation/migration of applications to Azure Cloud.
• Strong Expertise on ARM Templates and PowerShell Scripting.
• Experience in building and managing VMs, azure services (webapp, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Azure monitoring, AD, Data Bricks, Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Log analytics, OMS) using ARM Templates and PowerShell Scripting.
• Experience in creating VNET, SUBNET, VMs, storage account, peering, backups and restore, encryption of VMs disks (OS and data disk), load balancers, Azure AD, VM Scale Sets o Disk allocation to both windows and RHEL/Ubuntu VMs. o Setting up NSG o Knowledge on dockers, containers and AKS. o Creation, Managing and troubleshooting WAF (Web Application Firewall) o Implementation of HA and DR.
