The Quality Engineering team within Humana is a trusted, high performance technology partner that provides innovative and transformational capabilities and operational excellence. Responsibilities

Our ideal candidate

, (A Quality Technical Leader), provides technical leadership in domain strategy, design, and architecture in the maturation of Humana's IT security implementation, design. They are committed and vocal advocate for security best practices. This person has been involved in the IT security domain, as a guard rail to protect organizations and sensitive data across a broad spectrum of security threats applying industry best practices within the domain. As a bastion of security expertise, you will collaborate and strategize with SRE, delivery teams and technology leaders, honed from extensive hands-on experience in developing security standards, sensitive data and information handling and mitigation strategies, with an utmost focus on the effective application of a solid security posture. This highly motivated person is pivotal in ensuring our customers trust us with their sensitive data. A leader of this caliber will design and build the strategy to modernize IT architectures through their knowledge of networks, access control management, breach and threat analysis, and compliance automation and testing. This person is a hands-on leader in implementing, designing, educating, and mentoring the organization to shift left, a philosophy in the application of quality best practices, patterns and accountability to standards, early and often in development.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with cloud and platform leadership, the central quality engineering team, agile development scrum teams, DevSecOps service delivery, and software architects to create a world-class and mature Quality Engineering Program.

Evaluate, research, recommend, and support automation tools, platforms, techniques, and quality practices, such as functional and non-functional testing across the organization.

Provide thought leadership and mentorship to drive improved quality processes and maturity across teams, with an eye toward testability and test injection opportunities.

Serve as a resource for resolving complex technical testing issues.

Maximize the organization's existing platforms and migration architectures, with modern business continuity patterns, such as regionalization, multi-datacenter, on-premise and cloud managed services aspiring to improve, innovate and reinvent.

Track quality metrics, coverage, and recommend efficiency improvements in short and long-term roadmaps.

Make decisions, as a technology leader, that impact and cascade to the future technological landscape of the enterprise.

Requirements

7 or more years of leading teams with a high emphasis on quality in the delivery of services.

Bachelor's degree in a computing field (or equivalent experience), proving a solid foundation in modern software development practices, languages, and paradigms.

Experience with security analysis such as IP traffic flow analysis, certification management, compliance automation

Experience with testing strategies, tools, methodologies, and repeatable delivery of quality outcomes

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail

Ability to communicate effectively and deliver presentations to senior leaders

Deliver reliable, innovative storage and data management products.

Develops, modifies, and executes automated software test plans.

Be a leader who interprets industry best practices to deliver, a researched, quality-focused, data driven, test and automation strategy.

Maintains portfolio and documentation for analysis and review of domain area for actionable improvements.

Advanced experience leading special projects and producing metrics, measurements, and trend reports

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Additional and preferred Qualifications

Deep understanding of code practices that help drive quality, reusability, and maintainability

Passion for the agile mindset and solid foundation in agile practices (specifically scrum and/or Kanban).

Ability to help drive the organization streamlining the CI/CD pipeline, and championing opportunities to test early, automating 'fail fast' capabilities.

Background with several test automation frameworks, and microservices testing.

Proven impact through quality engineering practices to securely manage compute and data assets in the enterprise.

Familiarity and/or a demonstrated ability to come up to speed on our technology stack: REST API, Splunk, DynaTrace, scripting, Powershell.net, SolarWinds Orion.

Ability to understand the fundamental underlying technologies, i.e., networking, threat assessment analysis, content delivery networks, static orchestration; behind cloud providers like Azure, AWS, GCP, Automated patching and remediation stacks.

Experience with version control tools or analogous including Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Bitbucket.

Excellent interpersonal skills & an ability to build strong relationships

Highly motivated, collaborative & possessing an entrepreneurial mindset

About the company

For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated (preferred) or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home.
