Job description

The Technology Supervisor provides leadership, planning, implementation, and support for all technology systems within the school district. This position is responsible for managing the school's technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, instructional technology initiatives, hardware and software resources, data systems, and technical support services. The Technology Supervisor ensures that technology supports the district's educational mission while maintaining reliable, secure, and cost-effective operations., * Develop and implement a district-wide technology plan aligned with educational goals.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to improve teaching, learning, and operations.
  • Advise district leadership on technology-related decisions and investments.
  • Lead technology projects from planning through implementation.
  • Manage and maintain district network infrastructure, including wired and wireless networks.
  • Oversee servers, cloud services, internet connectivity, and data storage systems.
  • Ensure high availability and performance of all technology systems.
  • Monitor system performance and resolve technical issues.
  • Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Monitor network security and respond to security incidents.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Provide technical assistance to staff, students, and administrators as needed.
  • Coordinate hardware and software deployment, maintenance, and replacement schedules.
  • Develop and maintain technology documentation and inventories.
  • Support classroom technology integration initiatives.
  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to identify instructional technology needs.
  • Evaluate and implement educational software and digital learning resources.
  • Provide or coordinate technology training for faculty and staff.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend technology purchases.
  • Manage technology inventories, licensing, warranties, and vendor relationships.
  • Seek and administer technology grants and funding opportunities when available.
  • Ensure compliance with E-Rate requirements and other applicable technology regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of technology assets and systems.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for the Superintendent and Board of Education.
  • Attends meetings and professional development opportunities such as state and regional conferences, workshops, and other professional events to ensure knowledge of latest research, best practices, and policy changes.
  • Works with the ITCsite on network and global implementation of supported hardware and software.
  • Ensure the reliable operation of district-wide communication networks.
  • Ensure the reliable operation of district-wide security systems, including but not limited to video surveillance and building access systems.
  • Establishes relationships with technology vendors.
  • Responds to day-to-day network and other technology related problems.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information in accordance with district policies and applicable state and federal laws, including ORC 3319.321, ORC 3319.325 - 3319.27 and FERPA.
  • Adhere to district policies on ethics, conduct, and confidentiality.
  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and the administration.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Superintendent.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Requirements

Do you have experience in Wireless network configuration?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Please note: All candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug test prior to their start date.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Educational Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible technology experience.
  • Experience managing networks, cybersecurity, cloud services, and technology infrastructure.
  • Experience in a K-12 educational environment preferred.
  • Experience with establishing computer networks and in basic computer repairs.
  • Experience in accessing information networks.
  • Be able to work independently in an efficient manner.
  • Experience with Windows Imaging tools such as FOG, MDT, etc. required.
  • Windows Server Active Directory installation, configuration & administration required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot switches and wireless APs and network.
  • Google Administrator Certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience administering Google Admin Console and managing Google Workspace environments required.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace applications, including Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and related collaboration tools.
  • CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications preferred but not required.
  • Experience with network administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, security controls, and industry best practices.
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace platforms.
  • Familiarity with Student Information Systems (SIS) and educational technology applications.
  • Experience managing technology vendors, contracts, procurement processes, and service relationships.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders and end users.
