Job description
The Lead Security Technician is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in low-voltage security systems, including intrusion detection, IP CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems. This individual serves as a trusted advisor to customers, diagnosing issues, recommending solutions, and restoring full system functionality. The role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service and customer satisfaction., * Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with security systems, including damaged equipment, wiring, and connectivity problems.
- Repair, replace, and recalibrate malfunctioning components, ensuring systems are fully operational.
- Perform installation, maintenance, service, and inspections of:
- Intrusion detection systems
- IP CCTV systems
- Access control systems
- Fire alarm systems (where applicable)
- Read and interpret system configurations to ensure proper setup and functionality.
- Test system performance, including communication with monitoring centers, to verify connectivity and reliability.
- Coordinate and support system inspections and installations as required.
- Assist and mentor junior technicians, including support on troubleshooting and minor repairs (e.g., battery replacement).
- Accurately complete service documentation, reports, and customer-facing paperwork.
- Communicate clearly with customers to explain findings, outline next steps, and provide status updates.
- Identify system inefficiencies and recommend improvements or upgrades.
- Provide estimates and quotes for recommended repairs, upgrades, or additional services.
- Deliver a high level of customer service while acting as a trusted advisor on security solutions.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in safe and working condition.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.

Requirements
Hand Tools Low Voltage Blueprinting Communication Alarm Devices Access Controls Customer Service Security Systems Electrical Wiring Business Valuation Fire Alarm Systems Full Stack Development Valid Driver's License Artificial Intelligence Business Transformation Troubleshooting (Problem Solving), * Security system installation and service (intrusion, CCTV, access control, fire alarm)
- Troubleshooting and diagnostics of low-voltage systems
- Cable installation, termination, and repair
- Strong knowledge of commercial security systems and infrastructure, * 6+ years of experience in the low-voltage or security industry
- Strong working knowledge of major manufacturer platforms such as:
- Bosch / Radionics
- Honeywell
- Fire-Lite
- Silent Knight
- DMP
- DSC
- Well-versed in commercial applications of access control, CCTV, intrusion, and fire alarm systems
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass background and identity verification checks
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles and equipment
- Ability to climb ladders and perform work at elevated heights
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Benefits & conditions
This is a Contract position based out of Las Vegas, NV. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
