Job description

Kforce has a client in White Plains, NY that is seeking an Applications Manager - Energy Management., * Develop and maintain internal settlement and reporting systems for trade capture, reconciliation, and margin reporting

  • Enhance automated reporting for daily P&L, asset performance, and recurring business needs
  • Build tools to automate data extraction from secure external sources
  • Optimize SQL queries and backend processes for performance and accuracy
  • Design and build interactive dashboards to monitor market positions, asset performance, and risk
  • Create responsive web interfaces for real-time insights and mobile access
  • Improve application performance using efficient data delivery and caching methods
  • Deliver clear visualizations to support decision-making
  • Develop automated pipelines to collect and normalize market and operational data
  • Build APIs to connect systems across trading, risk, and asset management
  • Support integration of real-time operational data
  • Implement secure user authentication and data access controls
  • Assist with design and implementation of systems supporting trading, market data, and settlements
  • Partner with risk and commercial teams to ensure timely, accurate reporting
  • Support forecasting, dispatch, and compliance-related tools
  • Maintain data integrity, backups, and internal controls
  • Act as liaison between business users and IT for system support and enhancements
  • Coordinate user access, system setup, and application support
  • Work with external vendors on system maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Track and resolve infrastructure issues impacting operations
  • Ensure applications align with internal security standards and best practices
  • Apply secure coding, role-based access controls, and audit logging
  • Support system audits, access reviews, and security assessments

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • 2-4 years in software development, data engineering, or analytics
  • Experience with Java or C#/.NET
  • Proficiency in Python and/or R
  • Strong SQL skills (query optimization, stored procedures)
  • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React (or similar)
  • Familiarity with APIs, Git, and CI/CD practices
  • Exposure to energy markets or trading systems is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Solid software engineering fundamentals
  • Clear communication and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Adaptable, detail-oriented, and proactive

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
