Job description
HTRI seeks an individual to develop, maintain, and enhance HTRI engineering software, including the user interfaces, via a number of different technologies. This position is located at our Navasota, Texas headquarters.
Principal responsibilities
- Write web applications to interface with new or existing databases using C#, Python, SQL, and JavaScript
- Develop front-end/back-end applications interfacing Web APIs
- Work collaboratively with team members to resolve bugs in existing codebases
- Configure local development environments and deploy changes to production
- Document software implementation details using diagrams and coding logic flowcharts
- Test bug fixes and requirement implementations
- Gain understanding of product architectures and constituent technologies
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or bachelor's degree with professional web development experience
- Implementation experience in at least two of the following: C/C++, C#, Python, Ruby, JavaScript
- Experience with SQL and general database knowledge
- Familiarity with Cloud Services (AWS, Azure)
- Working knowledge of Azure DevOps or similar version control systems
Preferred but not essential
- MS in Computer Science
- IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS experience
- Understanding of back-end database design
- Understanding of object-relational mapping abstractions
