Job description

Assist and maintain accurate control of materials, inventory transactions and document flow within assigned inventory system. Optimizes Seminole's investment by performing timely data entry and maintaining administrative work loads., * Adheres to all established health and safety policies and procedures.

  • Provides feedback to coworkers, contractors and visitors on both safe and at-risk practices.
  • Supports the SGS Safety Strategic Plan and participates in safety improvement activities and efforts.
  • Reviews documents for correctness prior to data entry.
  • Operates Cooperative vehicles to pick up material purchased from local vendors, as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor, assuring the appropriate documentation is submitted.
  • Types memorandums, forms, and other documents as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Organizes daily workload in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Responsible for data entry of purchase order receipts, inventory adjustments, and any other data entry as directed.
  • Responsible for the prompt and efficient reconciliation of all daily activity reports input into the WACS database.
  • Responsible for the daily physical counts associated with the Daily Inventory Activity Analysis Report.
  • Pickup and transport incoming mail from the U.S. Post Office to the plant site. Pickup and transport plant purchased materials from local vendors to the plant site, as directed.
  • Responsible for maintenance, archiving, and purging of paper document files.
  • Responsible for performing general office duties, as directed.
  • Works with Accounts Payable on delinquent inventory transactions.
  • Distributes all Inventory System reports to users, as directed.
  • Prepares activity reports for management.
  • Processes the receiving documentation for bulk chemicals.
  • Create and maintain inventory/procurement transaction files including inventory adjustments, shipping, etc.
  • Utilizes Infoview to generate reports, as directed.
  • Orders office supplies with the approval of the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Assists in the monthly cycle count, including performing re-counts, as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Acts as the primary contact for Investment Recovery items being turned over from all Plant site departments, to include proper handling of paperwork and tagging, proper handling of recovery items that are to be stored, auctioned or advertised for bid, and coordinating in-person showing of items or shipping. Job function does not include negotiating or conducting bids.
  • Adheres to Safety Regulations.
  • Performs light custodial duties throughout the various warehouse buildings as directed.
  • Creates and submits NCM report for items identified by Warehouseman as non-conforming, work with various departments to resolve, show parts/materials as requested. Work with Warehouse to close NCM.
  • Produces and updates spreadsheets and other similar documents, as directed.
  • Updates computer files and other records pertaining to historical contract data.
  • Performs other duties as applicable to the position or as assigned.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Safety protocol adherence?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, High School Diploma or the equivalent required. Two (2) years of work experience with an automated inventory control system and one (1) year of related data entry experience is required. Must be knowledgeable in inventory, inventory transactions, inventory recordkeeping, and documentation. Must be knowledgeable of inventory control practices, basic mathematic skills, and inventory nomenclature and terms. Must be knowledgeable of purchase order documents, issue documents, inventory documents, and other documents utilized to maintain the data base. Must have the ability to establish files to effectively retrieve data for reports. Must be certified for and able to operate a forklift. Must be able to operate general office equipment including a calculator, personal computer, and a copy machine. Must perform data entry function with reasonable speed and accuracy. Must possess the analytical skills necessary to reconcile inventory transactions for proper reporting to materials management.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to follow established protective measures including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report. Requires physical lifting of small articles up to 50 pounds. Must be able to ascend and descend stairs and climb on and off vehicles/pickup trucks.

Benefits & conditions

While working in certain areas of the plant there is the potential for exposure to hazards typical of an industrial working environment. Work is normally performed in the Plant Warehouse Office, Plant Administration Building, and various Plant and off-site locations when making material pickups. Working conditions include a typical clerical office environment, as well as some routine outside field work. Overtime and travel may be required. Must wear personal protection equipment such as a hard hat and safety glasses as required.
