Job description

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Sr. Technical Analyst - Data Products / Data Lakehouse Support for a contract assignment with one of our premier Financial clients in San Francisco, CA., * Serve in a hands-on technical role, not managerial or architectural.

  • Perform deep-dive troubleshooting and technical analysis on complex integrated systems.
  • Diagnose root causes, identify solutions, and support remediation activities.
  • Provide primary technical support to end users for issues related to software, data quality, data processing, or communication failures.
  • Monitor application, production, and implementation support - including new releases.
  • Consult on testing strategies, document findings, and manage response coordination.
  • Maintain project/application documentation: scope, requirements, schedules, and related artifacts.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and escalate recommendations to leadership.
  • Coordinate information flow between business owners and development teams.
  • Support backlog development/refinement and Agile delivery activities.
  • Facilitate work sessions, functional reviews, and application development task alignment.
  • Record support interactions in call-logging tools for traceability/productivity tracking.
  • Validate proposed technical approaches to problem logs and advise on remediation steps.
  • Participate in stakeholder engagement, solution design evaluation, and distributed team collaboration.
  • Willingness to participate in periodic on-call coverage

Requirements

  • Technical Hands-On Requirements
  • Databricks - Lakehouse support, Data Quality Framework, dashboard development
  • R / SparklyR - Data analysis work
  • PySpark / Python - Scripting, automation, performance tuning, debugging
  • Starburst - Data analyst experience, or Starburst developer/support engineer level
  • Collibra - Developer or support engineering background
  • Alteryx - Development or platform support engineering exposure
  • Tableau - Development experience with performance tuning/debug capability
  • Immuta - Security analyst experience including RBAC + ABAC controls
  • Skill Mix Combinations Requested
  • Databricks + (R or SparklyR) OR (PySpark or Python)
